We've just gotten onto the ferry heading towards Italy, it's about a 23 hour ferry. From what I've heard from previous Western Heritage Tours the ferry is really bad, but is actually not too bad at all. Sure there's nothing to do on the ferry but it's quite relaxing, I've always liked being on a boat. It's been pretty full on to be honest, lots of walking in Athens to see many of the main attractions. I think it's really interesting to see the ruins, sculptures and painting because it reveals a lot of the ancient culture and it's something that is new to me I suppose. It's hard to get a grasp on time I'm not too sure why. The people in Greece are not what I imagined, the city Athens is not what I imagined either. The people are very friendly in a fake way. They would literally follow you around for a minute to try and convince you to come into their restaurant. But I guess they kind of have to, if only you could see what it's like there.
