Sitting here writing this at 1 am in Ancona train station, accompanied by some of the boys who are a bit restless like me currently. A group of Italian young men approached me asking us what we are doing lying on the floor sleeping. I wonder the same too, only to remember that we had our ferry delayed by Minoan ferries due to a hold up in the previous voyage. We would be in Rome by now if this delay did not occur. I fear that the day coming up in Rome may not be a fun one due to the lack of sleep that most of the boys, including me, have gotten. I pray that Bucko allows some leeway for us. The young men then decide to mock the boys in Italian, only to not realise that some boys can recognise and understand some of the things being said, as Spanish is very similar to Italian.

N/B The boys have just been woken up by some angry Italian police officers and have been escorted to a seated area near our platform. I have now got the presumption that Italians are as angry as the Greeks. Maybe it's an Europe-wide thing just to be grumpy at foreign tourists. Hamish and Alex find the situation humorous by mocking the accents of the officers.
